Ted Klaudt, a former Republican of the South Dakota House of Representatives, was found guilty of sexually assaulting his two minor foster daughters.
Ted Klaudt tried to copyright his name so that the media couldn’t mention his name during trial without paying a fee.
He then learned that names cannot be given a copyright.
Ted Klaudt received an additional 10 years on his sentence for witness tampering.
He had told his foster daughters that he would “forget about” money they owed him if they wouldn’t go to law enforcement about his abuse.
